Okram Ibobi Singh has been appointed Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee president as the All India Congress Committee announced new Congress Legislature Party and campaign appointments.

IMPHAL — Former three-time Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has been appointed president of the Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC), the All India Congress Committee (AICC) announced on Thursday.
In a press release issued by AICC general secretary KC Venugopal, the party said Ibobi Singh would take over as the new state Congress chief.
The release also announced a series of organisational appointments alongside his elevation.
Outgoing MPCC president Keisham Meghachandra Singh has been appointed leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), while K Ranjit has been named Deputy CLP leader.

Former MLAs Victor Keishing and Manga Vaiphei have been appointed working presidents of the MPCC. Victor Keishing is the son of late Chief Minister Rishang Keishing.
Former MLA Fajur Rahim has been appointed treasurer of the MPCC.
Former Assembly Speaker and MLA Th Lokeshwar Singh has been named chairperson of the campaign committee, while former MPCC president and former minister Moirangthem Okendro has been appointed chairperson of the election committee.
The AICC release said the party “appreciates the contributions” of outgoing president Keisham Meghachandra Singh and Okram Ibobi Singh.
