DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9
IN a joint operation, Nagaland Police and 31 Assam Rifles seized a huge consignment of IMFL containing 888.5 cases near Ungma village under Mokokchung district on February 7. The liquor was being smuggled in a truck from Dimapur to Mokokchung via Kohima and Wokha. Three persons were apprehended and seven vehicles seized on the spot in this connection, an Assam Rifles release said today.
The three apprehended and seized vehicles were later handed over to Mokokchung police station II.
The local populace and various NGOs conveyed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for taking adequate steps to prevent inflow of liquor to Mokokchung district.
