Diphu, May 25 (EMN): The result of High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2018 conducted by the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) was declared in Assam on May 25 Friday.
This year the Karbi Anglong district recorded an increased pass percentage of 42.67 compared to previous year which was 31.72 percent. But despite the increase, Karbi Anglong ranked the third lowest from the bottom chart of the 27 districts.
The total students appearing for the exam from Karbi Anglong was 13,941 out of which 5,949 passed. 1164 students scored 1st division, 2,669 students scored second division and 2,116 in third division.
The highest pass percentage is Karbi Anglong was 79.76 percent scored by Dhimaji.
CEM, Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Tuliram Ronghang while congratulating the successful students, said that it was an outcome of the effort of KAAC that the district received a better result compared to previous year.
The overall number of students applied for the examination in Assam was 3,44,215 and total appeared was 3,37,570 out of which 1,89,191 students passed. The pass percentage was 56.04.
