Kohima, May 7 (EMN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has announced that the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examinations 2017 will be declared Monday afternoon.
The results for more than 37,000 students will go live on the official website of NBSE at www.nbsenagaland.com as well as several other websites including www.examresults.net, www.indiaresults.com, www.exametc.com and www.schools9.com as soon as they are released.
While the results will also be made available at the NBSE office, the board notified that results can be accessed through SMS as well as for HSLC: type 10<space>ROLL NUMBER to 54242 or RESULT<space>NBSE10<space>ROLL NUMBER to 56263; and for HSSLC, type NB12<space>ROLL NUMBER to 54242 or RESULT<space>NBSE12<space>ROLL NUMBER to 56263.
The NBSE has also informed that the provisional result gazettes will be issued to all the registered institutions of the board and heads of the registered institutions are to collect the marksheets and other documents from May 8 afternoon to May 10. In case the head of institution are unable to collect the documents themselves, they have been asked to depute duly authorised persons to collect the same.
A total 22,446 students were enrolled to sit for the HSLC examination 2017 and 15,472 students for HSSLC examination 2017 in more than 120 examination centres across the state earlier in mid-February.
This year, the NBSE board examinations were conducted under difficult circumstances due to the indefinite state-wide bandh imposed by tribal bodies under the banner of Joint Coordination Committee and NTAC, following a standoff between the state government and tribal organisations. The upheaval was over the decision of the state to conduct elections to the urban local bodies with 33% reservation of seats for women.
Although exemptions were made for students appearing the NBSE board examinations in the end, the situation nonetheless disturbed the academic environment.
