Diphu, Feb. 4 (EMN): Hills’ Progressive Youth Association (HPYA) a Karbi youth body has alleged that the Forest Department under Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) has been involved in illegal job appointment in all III-grade and IV-grade during the year 2013-2017.
This was informed in a press note issued by its president Enjoy Tisso and publicity secretary Mindar Teron on Sat. Feb. 3.
The organisation stated ‘as per Right to Information (RTI) letter received from all divisions of forest department under the KAAC division including East, West, Forestation, Hamren, Silviculture working plan, no advertisement for job vacancies were published in media, no written examination or interviews were conducted by the appointing authority for the stated posts which clearly proves that the appointments were illegal in nature’.
In this connection the organisation has demanded stringent action against Principal Chief Conservation of Forest (PCCF) Dr. Abhijit Rabha and Officer on Special Duty (OSD) B. Narzary for their involvement in the illegal job scam.
HPYA called upon Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), Chief Executive Member (CEM) Tuliram Ronghang, who is the in charge of the forest department to take immediate cancellation of the recent appointment.
The organisation has further urged the KAAC to call for fresh interview by publishing it in local newspaper dailies and through other media sources for the said posts to give justice to the genuinely qualified and eligible local candidates.
