Kohima, Dec. 4(EMN): The Hornbill Off-road Challenge 2018 was held at Zarü river, Mima Village, some twenty kilometers away from the state capital.
The off road challenge, is a new events being organised this year which saw ten participants taking part in the challenge.
Team number 1 comprising of Aviu Rutsa/ Neiketoulie Meyase in car no. 57 and Ruokuobetuo/Pete in car no.53 were adjudged as the champions followed by team No.5 with Yanger Lusang/Maken Lepden in car no.60 and Bento Swu/Bovito Kiho in car no.59 and team No.3 with Ikwetheing/Kenrak Thou in car no.66 and Irietui/Elu in car no.71 in second and third place respectively.
Abemo Yanthan car no.54 was awarded the best spotter while Aviu Rutsa car no.57 was awarded the best off road rig title. The event was organised by Nagaland Adventure and Motor Sports Association in collaboration with government of Nagaland as part of the annual Hornbill Festival 2018 and is being sponsored by JK Tyre.
