The finalists to compete at the grand finale of Hornbill International Rock Contest 2015 have been announced. The list was announced by Radha Khrishna Nayar, editor-in-chief and publisher Rolling Stone, India. Rolling Stone is here as co-promoter for Hornbill International Rock Contest.
Altogether, 24 bands including one international, 17 national (Seven from Northeast) and six local bands competed at the final audition round, wherein, nine (9) bands have made the cut to perform at the grand finale on December 6 at Hockey Ground, IG Stadium, Kohima.
The bands have been selected by a panel of judges comprising George Tylor Smith, vice president of Trinity College of Music, London, Asutosh from True School of Music, Akshay, guitarist of Hardcore, Mumbai and our very own veteran guitarist Andrew Ngullie.

• October (Delhi)
• Reverse Tragedy (Mizoram)
• Grey Shack (Chennai)
• Tune Up Channels (Nagaland)
• Run Pussy Run (Pune)
• Rune Legacy (Nagaland)
• Ron & Me (Kolkata)
• Avancer (Nagaland)
The winner of this year’s edition will fetch a cash award of Rs. 10 lakh, while the 1st runners-up and 2nd runners-up will also receive a prize money of Rs. 5 lakh and Rs 2.5 lakh respectively. Attractive prizes have also been set aside for winners of individual categories - Best vocal, Best guitarist, Best keyboardist, Best drummer and Best bassist.
Legendary guitarist Kee Marcello will be the judge, while he will also perform at the grand finale of the Hornbill International Rock Contest 2015.
