A song titled, “Hornbill Festival” was launched at CE Studio in Midland Colony, Kohima on Saturday, coinciding with Nagaland’s popular festival with the same name.
The new original (in English) by Oren Mozhui was released by Masanliu Gonmei, who is a roadside vegetable vendor near Phool Bari in Kohima, according to an update received here on Saturday.
The song was composed with the Hornbill Festival in mind and to encourage the people to promote biggest Indian music festival (Hornbill Music Festival) to the outside world. The update added that it’s a dance track composed specifically for those interested in dance and for ramp walk. It is also dedicated to those interested in Hornbill Festival.
Oren is optimistic that his new song, which aims at reviving and protecting the rich culture of Nagaland, will motivate others to participate in the Hornbill Festival. The song is available on YouTube, musical websites and social media platforms.
