DIMAPUR — Commissioner & Secretary of Tourism, Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi, inaugurated the Naga CraftScape at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama, on Monday.
The Naga CraftScape, organised by the Tribal Weave Nagaland in collaboration with Nagaland Tourism and Department of Art & Culture, is a space where Naga artisans can give live demo craft, a DIPR report stated.
While interacting with the artisans, Dr. Chusi conveyed appreciation and encouraged them to pass on the art to the younger generation too.
The live demo includes Chang cotton spinning, Konyak gunsmithing, Phom earthern pottery, Khiamniungan nettle weaving, Pochury awathru (wind chime), Chang kongkin (Jews harp), Khiamniungan basketry, Konyak ornaments and Chang wood carving.
