Hornbill Esports: TWM Gaming win BGMI title, GOM take top spot in DOTA 2

KOHIMA — TWM Gaming won the BGMI tournament at the Hornbill Esports Championship Season 1, securing 99 points with 59 finishes across 10 matches played over two days.


The team, represented by Dzieseser Suohu, Kezhangutuo Metha, Areeb Naiyar and Akash Kumar, walked away with a cash prize of INR 1.20 lakh.


The event was organised by the Department of Youth Resource and Sports at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Kohima and around 150 players participated in the first-ever edition of the championship.


Remorseless secured the second place with INR 60,000, followed by Sin Official Mizo in third place with INR 40,000. Vnom Esports secured the fourth place with INR 20,000, followed by BO7S in fifth place with INR 15,000, SEG Devguru in sixth place with INR 10,000, Rising Underdogs in seventh place with INR 9,000, SEG Esports in eighth place with INR 8,000, Sheleft Esports in ninth place with INR 7,000, and Team XYZ in tenth place with INR 6,000.


TWM Gaming's Kezhangutuo (Lobster) was awarded the Most Valuable Player title with 20 finishes and received a cash prize of INR 5,000.


In DOTA 2, the Generation of Miracles (GOM) team from Nagaland won first place and received a cash prize of INR 1 lakh. The players from GOM were Pedelhutuo Nagi, Vizekhol Pucho, Abu Sothu, Vikepele Angami, Vimetha Kikhi, Imchayanger Amer, and Lichon Ovung.


The second prize was won by True Strike, which walked away with a cash prize of INR 60,000. Your New Feeders (YNF) and Get Good Kid (GGK) secured the third and fourth places, respectively, with cash prizes of INR 30,000 and INR 10,000.


Meanwhile, Tiatoshi Lemtur was crowned the champion of FC24 (FIFA) and was awarded a cash prize of INR 25,000.


Tongtiejet Yaden, Onjang Vaiphei, and Pukhrambam Michael secured the second, third, and fourth places, respectively, with cash prizes of INR 15,000, INR 7,000, and INR 3,000.
