DIMAPUR — The Tati Group Enterprise organised
the third Hornbill Benchrest Air Rifle shooting competition, held at Touphema
Village on December 3.
According to an update, in the open category, the distances
shot were 50 metres, 75 metres, and 100 metres. Henben Imlong claimed the
championship with 291 points and a cash prize of INR 55,000. Echenjang secured
the first runner-up position with 286 points, earning a cash prize of INR
35,000. Khriesanyű finished as the second runner-up with 238 points and a cash
prize of INR 20,000.
Two-time defending champion Kezhaletuo Kire was unable to
retain his title.
In the .177 open category, the distances shot were 25
metres, 35 metres, and 50 metres, where Neizo Belho won the championship with
285 points and a cash prize of INR 35,000. Echenjang secured the first runner-up
position with 285 points, earning a cash prize of INR 20,000, while Khriesanyű
Miachieo finished as the second runner-up with 279 points and a cash prize of
INR 15,000.
In the .177 Indian category, the distances shot were 15
metres, 25 metres, and 35 metres, where Henben Imlong was crowned champion with
a score of 294 points. He walked away with a cash prize of INR 5,000, along
with a PX 120 Minotaur BX3 (Bottle Version) Air Rifle Model.
The first runner-up, Echenjang, scored 294 points and walked
away with a cash prize of INR 10,000, along with three tins of .177 round head
pellets.
Keneizetuo Khro, the second runner-up, scored 288 points and received
a cash prize of INR 7,000, along with two tins of .177 round head pellets.
Precihole Sports, a leading rifle manufacturer, sponsored
the prizes for the .177 Indian category and also displayed its products during
the competition.
Kevilezo Kense, Class I contractor, attended the prize
distribution ceremony.
