Horensing Bey appointed president of BJP’s ST Morcha in Assam

Former MP Horensing Bey has been appointed as the new Assam BJP ST Morcha president.

DIPHU — The BJP in Assam has appointed former MP Horensing Bey as the state president of the Scheduled Tribes (ST) Morcha. Bey represented the 3-Autonomous District (ST) Parliamentary Constituency and is known for his work in tribal welfare.


Party members said the appointment signals the BJP’s continued efforts to strengthen grassroots outreach and ensure inclusive development. “This appointment reflects the party’s unwavering dedication to the welfare and empowerment of tribal communities,” the BJP-EKADC said in a statement.

Congratulating Bey, BJP-EKADC president Roland Killing said, “Shri Bey, known for his dynamic leadership and tireless efforts, is expected to bring renewed energy and vision to the Morcha’s activities across the state.”


He also congratulated other newly appointed state presidents, stating that their collective leadership would be crucial in advancing the party’s organisational goals and social initiatives.


“With this new team in place, the ST Morcha is poised to further champion the cause of tribal welfare, cultural preservation, and socio-economic progress,” he added.
