Nagaland Home Department notifies the list of ministers and advisors to unfurl the national flag on Republic Day 2026, January 26.

DIMAPUR — The Home department has notified who will unfurl the national flag and take the Rashtriya Salute on the occasion of Republic Day on January 26 at the designated locations.
According to the notification, Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister, will unfurl the flag in Kohima; G Kaito Aye, Minister for Roads and Bridges, in Zunheboto; Jacob Zhimomi, Minister for Public Health Engineering, in Niuland; and P Paiwang, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, in Mon.
Metsubo Jamir, Minister for Rural Development and State Institute of Rural Development, will take the salute in Dimapur; Temjen Imna Along, Minister for Tourism and Higher Education, in Wokha; CL John, Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change and Village Guards, in Peren; and Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Minister for Women Resource Development and Horticulture, in Meluri.

S Toiho, Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, will be in Shamator; Zhaleo Rio, Advisor for Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, in Chümoukedima; TN Mannen, Advisor for Law and Justice and Land Revenue, in Mokokchung; and Dr. Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education and State Council of Educational Research and Training, in Noklak.
Hekani Jakhalu, Advisor for Industries and Commerce, will be in Tseminyu; Imkongmar, Advisor for Minority Affairs and Sericulture, in Longleng; G Ikuto Zhimomi, Advisor for Land Resources, in Phek; Chingang Konyak, Advisor for Department of Underdeveloped Areas and Geology and Mining, in Tuensang; and Wangpang Konyak, Advisor for Social Welfare, in Kiphire.
For Additional Deputy Commissioner headquarters and sub-divisions not assigned to any dignitary, the local MLAs may attend the Republic Day function organised there, unfurl the national flag, and take the Rashtriya Salute. If they are unavailable, the respective administrative officers will unfurl the national flag and take the Rashtriya Salute.
Further, deputy chief ministers, ministers, advisors, and MLAs who are available in station may attend the Republic Day function in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat Plaza, Kohima.
