
DIMAPUR — A three-day ‘Children's camp’ was organised for the catechism students on the theme ‘Let the children come to me,’ at Holy Redeemer Church, Tobu in Mon district, from October 11 to the 13th.
According to an update, the children were divided into four groups to compete in various activities including group song, solo, Bible recitation, Bible skit and choreography.
The resource persons of the session spoke on the important teachings and practices of the Church.
The three-day programme witnessed the culmination of various competitions, fun games and entertainment. All the winners of the competitions were awarded exciting prizes and gifts.
On the concluding day, Rev. Fr. George, CMF priest in charge of Angjangyang, offered Holy Eucharist to the children.
During his homily, he urged upon the parishioners to seek the word of God and lay in His arms, so that God will protect them from any harm.
The event was conducted under the stewardship of Rev. Fr. Kevishe Solomon, parish priest. He was assisted by Br. John Deacon, Rev. Sr. Rose and Rev. Sr. Gladys, who were also the main resource persons for the entire session.
Altogether, around 160 children participated in the programme.
