DIMAPUR, JAN 7: Long time NPF loyalist who switched to BJP, Hokuto Zhimomi declared his candidature to contest the forthcoming DMC elections from Ward No 22 at a brief dedication service held at his residence in Veterinary Colony, Dimapur.
Addressing supporters and well wishers, Hokuto said that his decision to contest on BJP ticket was based on the request and desire of the grassroot people who appealed him to represent them for progress and development.
“I thank the public for reposing faith on me and I re-commit to work for the welfare of the people under the banner of BJP,” he said. Hokuto told the public that he could work effectively only with their support and cooperation. He also thanked the BJP leaders for issuing him the ticket.A host of BJP leaders and public leaders also spoke at the programme lending their support to his candidature.
The dedicatory service was conducted by Associate Pastor of Dimapur Sumi Baptist Church, Tohovi Chophy.
BJP leaders including former minister, Kheto; Convenor of Finance & Development Committee, HK Khulu; intending BJP candidate, Hokivi Chishi; and other leaders also attended the dedication service.
