Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, has directed all Head of Offices in the district to supervise/ monitor schemes especially the centrally sponsored schemes to ensure that real benefits percolate down to the targeted beneficiaries.
Addressing the monthly Mokokchung District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting in the ADC (Planning) conference hall on April 7, Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman DPDB, Kumar insisted that “it is the duty of all heads of offices to monitor such schemes” and ensure that benefits are percolated down to the targeted group and to submit report to him.
Improvement of Tuli circular road from NH-2 (222 km to 225 Km) via Ao Penzu village also came up for discussions, in which the house agreed to forward to the State Development Commissioner for consideration.
The Vice Chairman also informed all the members about the importance of wildlife protection as it was circulated to all the districts by the State Department of Forest, Environment, Ecology and Wildlife on the need to preserve them.
In the meeting, Er. Temsuwati, DIO, NIC, said there is a need to inform public not to travel via Assam with huge cash as electioneering in the neighboring state is not yet over. Any public who are compel to carry huge cash with them are informed to carry supporting documents to proof that it is unavoidable.
Temsuwati, who is also the secretary of Officers Club Mokokchung, informed members, who have not yet submitted their annual membership to submit the same at the earliest.
