DIMAPUR — The 37 battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) stationed in Chedema along with Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) organised an awareness programme on HIV/AIDS on May 27.
An update from BSF stated that over 100 participants including officers, troops and family members of BSF attended the programme. It stated that Sh SP Singh, 2nd in command of BSF, welcomed the resource persons and staff from NSACS and also appreciated the efforts on how NSACS is reaching out to the people and educating awareness on HIV/AIDS related issues.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]The resource persons were Dr. Menokho Zao, Inato, deputy director of NSACS, and Rokovizo, additional director of NSACS.

Various aspects relating to issues like spread of HIV, preventive measures, syndromes, treatment etc. were delivered by the resource persons during the programme.
After the programme, a voluntary free HIV blood test was conducted by the NSACS teams for the participants.
