Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Manik Bhattacharjee Memorial 2nd open night badminton tournament 2017 got underway on Friday at the PVHSS Campus, Dimapur with Pukhavi Yepthomi, former DMC member as the chief guest for the event. Pukhavi in his speech encouraged the initiative taken by the organiser (HYS) for hosting such kind of event which has a bright future ahead and also shared his experience with Manik Bhattacharjee.
The guest of honour, Monoj Bhattacharjee a social worker and educationist and also the principal of PVHSS, Dimapur graced the programme by saying that he was very much impressed with the youths of Hindu Yuva Sanga and appreciated the members for their tireless effort. He inspired others to also be a part of Hindu Yuva Sanga and that it is not limited for any community. The tournament will continue till Dec. 17.
