Dimapur, June 25 (EMN): All Nagaland Hindi Teachers’ Union (ANHTU) has sought proper explanation from the department of school education for the delay in releasing salary despite repeated reminders of the hardships faced by the 1357 Hindi teachers.
The union press release issued by its general secretary, AS Yarthotngam, claimed that the state finance department had released the sanction order of salary for the month of March and April on June 8 for the 1357 Hindi teachers of 2012-13 batch. It alleged that despite the sanction order, the department of school education has not released the salaries to the already grieved Hindi teachers.
ANHTU has questioned the director of directorate of school education as to why the salaries have not been released till date. ANHTU questioned if it was an act of protest against the order of the state government or gesture of discrimination towards the Hindi teachers.
The union also added that the finance department was ready to release the sanction order for May and June given the proposal. It stated that the Hindi teachers are undergoing untold hardship due to the ‘complete negligence’ of the department.
While seeking proper explanation from the department, the union requested the department to stop provoking as it could lead to further agitations.
