A city fashion event on Saturday in Dimapur had the audience mesmerized as the stunning Femina Miss India East Himakshi Agarwala walked the ramp. Indeed, as the show stopper of the event, Mode Volk Fashion show, the beauty virtually stopped the show.
Organized by three enterprisers Senti Yanger, N Vitoli Achumi and Suliya Swu, the spring event staged at the Dimapur Town Hall on Saturday, April 9.
The event connected with the fast-growing fashion circuit in Nagaland, a state known for its beautiful cultural couture heritage no less. Also, needless to say that Mode Volk Fashion provided young designers and models a platform to exhibit their talent. Models sashayed the ramp clad in exclusive designs from upcoming designers Holito Yetho, Suliya Swu, Moumi Uzir, Nili Yesca, Milli Indira Dango and Lomi & Inakali (Li Dreamz). The show was hosted by Paukizone and choreographed by a choreographer whose name in Dimapur’s ramp scene has been growing familiar, Toshizen Longkumer.
Besides fashion and beauty, music also marked the evening. Local artistes such as the Coloured Keys, Sanen, Aghali K Chishi, and Kubanglung Pamie performed while dance group BIAY had the audience grooving with their moves.
And, for a change, unlike most other entertainment shows with a reputation for tardy starts and tardy conclusions, Mode Volk didn’t take the entire night but drew curtains on time.
