Thousands come to witness Hillsong London, one of the world’s most renowned worship bands performing live
DESPITE of the heavy downpour in the State capital since afternoon, thousands came out in the open beating the rain and chilly weather to witness the performance of Hillsong London, one of the world’s most renowned worship band, staging live at Kohima Local Ground on Friday evening.
Yes, rain played its part in delaying the show for almost one hour, but the attendance who made their presence at Khuochiezie ground patiently waited for the show to begin without losing hope.
The arrival of the visiting worship band from London representing themselves as ‘The sound of the new generation’, was eagerly awaited as one could see the crowd at Khuochiezie welcoming them on the stage with a thunderous applause.
The crowd, during the entire show, heartily and joyfully joined the band in singing. As was seen, young men and women and even elderly people experienced a wonderful and blessed time of worship. Responding to the ‘call out’ given by Pastor Gary Clark, senior pastor Hillsong London, the believers present also rededicated themselves to God.
Mention be made that the Christian worship band led by Pastor Gary Clark is here in Nagaland for a three-day tour.
They will present live shows even on Saturday and Sunday evening from 5 pm onward, while workshops will be held at 10 am on both days.
Friday’s show commenced with Rev. M. Asangba, pastor Kohima Ao Baptist Arogo, invoking God’s blessing, while Vikuo Rhi, youth secretary, Nagaland Baptist Council of Churches delivered the welcome address.
