Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): A team of officials, ‘ministerial team,’ of the department of Higher and Technical Education, visited Dimapur Government College on Tuesday in Dimapur. The team was led by the deputy director for Higher Education. The team had aides of ministers, updates stated.
The college issued a press release to the media on October 29 informing about the visit of the officials.
"The main objective of the visit was to get first-hand information about grievances and for assessment and assimilation on important aspects of the institution,” the institution stated.
The team first had a meeting with the college’s vice principal Alemla Imsong, and IQAC coordinator Dr. Vitsosie Vuprü. The team was appraised about the urgent needs of the college keeping in the 2nd cycle of the NAAC in 2020, the updates stated.
‘This was followed by an informal meeting with all the heads of departments which was basically to garner the grievances of each department. Some pertinent issues relating to infrastructure development, teacher’s grievances and also student related issues were raised and discussed,’ the updates stated.
