Kohima, May 18 (EMN): In view of the alarming rise of Covid cases in the state, the High Power Committee (HPC) under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio held a video conference on Tuesday with the District Task Force (DTF) of all the districts in Nagaland to discuss the prevailing situation in the districts, preparedness and other measures.
An update from government’s spokespersons and minister Neiba Kronu and advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon stated that "The HPC took stock of all the Covid related issues in all the district" while noting the tireless effort put in by the respective district task force.
It maintained that there would be active coordination with the DTF and the War Room would continue to address any immediate concerns of the district.
‘Financial support required as presented by the DTF has been taken note of and in addition to the existing funds, more will be provided depending on the requirements,’ informed the spokespersons.
They asserted that the Government is vigilant and proactively responding to the needs of each district as per the situational assessment provided by the district task force.
Further, it maintained that the preparedness of all the districts with regard to essential commodities were sufficient as of now.
