- DIMAPUR — The Kohima Bench of Gauhati High
Court has issued notices to the government of Nagaland following a writ
petition filed by 49 individuals seeking the requisition of 84 vacant posts of
agriculture field assistant (AFA) in the state’s Department of Agriculture.
- The petitioners have appealed to the court to direct the
state government to forward the vacant posts to the Nagaland Staff Selection
Board (NSSB) and to allow them to participate in the recruitment process.
- During the hearing on Thursday, the court granted the
respondents four weeks to file their replies.
- The respondents in the case include the chief secretary to
the government of Nagaland, the Commissioner and Secretary of Personnel and
Administrative Reforms (P&AR) Department, the Agriculture Production
Commissioner, the Director of Agriculture Department, and the Secretary of
NSSB.
