Dimapur, Feb. 4 (EMN): President of Lead India Foundation and chairman of Vision Digital India, Dr. Hari Krishna Maram, launched the Harvest Educational Transformation Solution (HETS ) at DBIDL, Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, in Dimapur on January 4.
At the launching programme, Maram stated that HETS would take it to new heights in the Northeast region. Maram asserted that close to 1.5 billion people across the world, from primary education to the PhD level, were unable to attend classes due to Covid-19 pandemic. He, however, stated that digital technology classes were being conducted today.
The president added that India has the largest education system in the world and added that India has around 36 crore student population from primary to post graduate level. Maram added that out of 138 crore population in India, 58 percent of the population are below 35 years of age and “these are the people who are going to build the new India.”
He added that India is well known as Vishwa Guru (universal leader) in education.
“Education system has been built thousands of years back in India and that is the reason today why people talk about knowledge, economy and technology,” he said. Maram added that great Indian leaders are able to head great companies due to strong educational foundations.
Maram expressed optimism that HETS would definitely help the country to build some of the best leaders in education as it is focusing on primary education. Maram added that Northeast has the highest potential in this country ‘which is an unexplored potential’.
During the introduction of HETS, Kereilhouvi Angami informed that the ‘trust is the foundation of HETS with ownership, integrity and commitment.’
He said some of the programmes provided by HETS were teacher academic programme, teacher efficiency programme, students exploring programme, life skills etc.
