Heritage complex to set up in Manipur

Our correspondent Imphal, Nov. 4 (EMN): A heritage complex will be set up at Behiang village, Churachandpur district bordering Myanmar, located around 130 km south of Imphal. Speaking to media persons during his visit to the border village, Arts and Culture Minister L Jayantakumar said the site has already been acquired by department and the fencing will be done as the first step to develop the site so that the area is properly demarcated and ready for further development. For this purpose, he said available fund from the department will be earmarked soon . Prior to his visit at the site, Jayantakumar attended a fee Ayush camp organised jointly by Directorate of Ayush and 27 sector Assam Rifles at St. Mary School Behiang. The minister said keeping the health of the public is the priority of the government and for which the government has been taking up initiative. He also explained the importance and values of medicinal plants available in the area and around. He assured an Ayush Centre at the village in the interest of the public. He also assured to extend necessary financial assistance for the farmers.
