Dimapur, May 10 (EMN): For the first time in the history of Herbert Spencer School, located at Northern Angami Colony, Walford, Dimapur, the school secured 100% pass in recently declared HSLC examination conducted by the NBSE. Altogether, 13 students secured first division with distinction in five subjects.
The school honoured the students by organising a felicitation cum counselling programme on May 10 with Capt. Mayank from 6 Sector Assam Rifles, Kashiram Bosti, as the resource speaker.
It was informed that seven students secured distinction in Social Science, five students in Alternative English, four students in Mathematics, four students in English, and six students in Foundation of Information Technology (FIT).
Impressed with the school’s performance, Capt. Mayank advised the students to work hard and never give up in studies. He also advised them to be faithful towards their teachers and parents in order to achieve success in life.
Besides delivering various career options, he motivated the students to join the armed forces as career. He further shared his life testimony on how he overcame hurdles and achieved success through sheer determination.
The school’s chairman, Kevise Sogotsu bestowed blessing on the successful students, while the school’s headmaster K Tasiwang delivered the vote of thanks. Speeches were also delivered by teachers and students.
Students of Classes IX and X and parents attended the felicitation cum counselling programme.
