The stage is all set to welcome the world renowned German power metal pioneers HELLOWEEN.
Led by their lead vocalist, Andi Deris, the band members including Markus Grosskopf (Bassist), Sascha Gerstner (Lead guitarist and backing vocals), Daniel Loble (Drummer) and Michael Weikath (Guitar), will arrive Kohima on Sunday (Dec 6) to perform on December 7 evening as part of the Hornbill International Music Festival 2015.
Helloween, founded in 1984 in Hamburg, Northern Germany, is a pioneering force in the power metal genre. Their second and third studio albums, Keeper of the Seven Keys Part I and Part II, are considered masterpieces of the genre.Undisputedly, Helloween are one of Germany’s most respected metal exports and considered the founders of German melodic speed metal. As godfathers of the genre, they have grown to become one of the most influential metal bands in the world.
In a career reaching back as far as 1984, Helloween have performed at innumerable metal festivals around the globe, which they headlined in front of over 500,000 fans. The band has delivered countless headliner world tours, spectacular shows with the likes of Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Dio, Slayer, or Ozzy Osbourne just to name a few.
With Helloween staging live here in Kohima, it’s for sure this year’s Hornbill fest will be bigger and louder than ever before. And it so happens to be their first visit in our country India.
