Heavy vehicles prohibited from plying on Kohima-Jessami road

DIMAPUR — Heavy and medium vehicles carrying a load of above 11.5 metric tons have been prohibited along the Kohima-Jessami road (Package-2) from November 7 onwards.

The restriction has been imposed due to the ongoing maintenance and repairing works of minor bridges at Ch: 38+148 of the route, according to an advisory issued by Phek Deputy Commissioner Kuko Mero on Wednesday.

Travellers have been advised to take the alternative route i.e., via Zuketsa-Pfutsero/ Zero Point-Chetheba-Pfutsero.
