Tsiedukhru stretch almost cleared


DIMAPUR — Heavy rainfall on Monday night triggered mudslides at several locations, including near Chathe-Patkai Bridge, Tsiedukhru stretch, and the New-Old Chümoukedima bypass road, forcing the Dimapur Traffic Police (DTP) to restrict vehicular movement.

 

Authorities were informed and machinery was deployed for clearance.

 

Traffic at Patkai Bridge resumed with one-way movement after clearance work on Tuesday morning. However, work was still underway on the Old-New Chümoukedima bypass road till the time of filing this report.

 

Meanwhile, the Tsiedukhru stretch was cleared and reopened to traffic in the morning, DTP updated.
