Our Correspondent Kohima, Sep. 21 (EMN): The hearing on the writ petition on Naga People’s Front (NPF) whip issue filed by the party president and MLA Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu in the Gauhati High Court Kohima Bench against Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) speaker Dr. Imtiwapang Aier and 37 others has been deferred to October 12. Sources said nine new respondents were impleaded in the matter on Thursday and the counsel for the respondents have sought for three weeks’ time to file their affidavits and the court stated to have granted the time. Consequently, the interlocutory application (IA) filed by NLA speaker objecting the maintainability of Liezietsu’s petition, though listed to be heard today, was also said to have been postponed. The matter will be listed and heard on October 12 with an endeavour to dispose off the case, a source informed.
