Healthcare workers sensitised on Covid vaccination

Dimapur, Jan. 24 (EMN): Office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Tuensang, conducted a Covid-19 vaccination sensitisation and awareness campaign for the healthcare staff of CHC Longkhim, PHC Chare and PHC Noksen on January 21 and 22.

During the campaign, Dr. I Moatemjen Jamir encouraged the healthcare staff to take Covid-19 vaccine without hesitation and set an example in order to boost the confidence of the public, an update from CMO office stated.

Jamir also instructed the healthcare workers not to share unauthenticated news or false rumours circulating on social media pertaining to the vaccine. He further spoke in detail on the vaccine (Covishield), mode of injection, dosage and its contra-indications.

Report further stated that the CMO also visited Longra village under Noksen block in Tuensang district for site verification of the newly approved sub-centre.
