DIMAPUR — The
chief medical officer (CMO) of Kohima, Dr. Leamnyei Konyak, inaugurated the
Tsiemekhuma sub-centre under Chiephobozou block in Kohima district on Saturday.
The sub-centre was inaugurated in the presence of deputy
CMO, Dr. Imchatoshi; Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase, DPO (RCH/UIP); Dr. Khrievilhou
Nakhro, DPMU, SMO Chiephobozou CHC; MO of Botsa PHC and team, BPM and village
council members.
An update from the CMO stated that the dedicatory prayer was
said by pastor Peteneilhou Rüpreo.
Speaking at the programme held at the village council hall
premises, Dr. Konyak stressed on the importance of community participation to
uplift the health centre. With the inauguration of the health centre, he called
upon the community to work hand-in-hand with the healthcare providers for
better health services.
Dr. Imchatoshi chaired the programme, while the welcome
address was delivered by the village council chairman, Mereise, and folk song
and song were presented by the women society and BKK of Tsiemekhuma village.
Dr. Khrievilhou spoke on universal immunisation programme
(UIP) and non-communicable disease (NCD) and Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase highlighted
on vector borne disease and climatic change on health system.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by
Dr. Ropfükolhou Dolie, MO of Botsa PHC.
