Health department organises health camp in Kijumetouma village.

DIMAPUR — The office the chief medical officer (CMO), Kohima, along with District Health Society, conducted a maternal and child health outreach camp at Kijumetouma village HWC-SC under Jakhama block on September 17.
An update from the CMO stated that the deputy CMO, Dr. Imchatoshi, has called upon the gathering to avail all the services provided by the department, stating that the camp was mainly focused on mother and child health in order to stay healthy lifestyle and to seek better health seeking behaviour.
He also emphasised on collective effort to bring about health awareness to uplift the health of the society in general and for contribution of the individual in particular.

Also speaking on the occasion, DPO (RMNCAH+N), Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro, stressed on the necessity of community participation to bring about sustainable healthcare services. He has particularly emphasised on the participation of pediatricians for child health, gynaecologist for maternal health, RBSK team for school going/drop-out children and MMU team for general ailments services.
It stated that gifts and nutritional packages were distributed to the fully immunised children, ASHA and pregnant mothers.
Altogether, 62 patients availed the health services. It added that IEC materials were distributed to the participants.
The health camp was conducted by the deputy CMO, Dr. Imchatoshi, along with other officials namely Dr. Kevilhulie Meyase, DPO (RMNCAH+N); Dr. Khrievilhou Nakhro; Dr. Ayo Thao (Obs & Gynae) Viswema CHC; and Dr. Akatoli, pediatrician from Chiephobozou CHC.
