
An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Dimapur, stated that ePMSMA assures comprehensive quality ante-natal care (ANC) service conducted on the 9th of every month to every pregnant woman across the country. It added that screening, identification, line-listing and appropriate management of high-risk pregnancies by Obs. & Gynea or a trained health personnel in comprehensive emergency obstetric care (CEmOC) or basic emergency obstetric care (BEmOC) specialist and referral to higher facilities are some of the fundamental elements of ePMSMA.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]It stated that Dr. Yanrenthung Jami is visiting all PHC and CHC under the CMO, Dimapur, to provide specialised ANC services to pregnant women, while Imlinoba Changkiri re-orients the staff on quality and timely reporting of ePMSMA monthly report.

Dr. Yanrenthung, while interacting with the staff of the health units, urged them to disseminate awareness on ePMSMA programme to communities and to encourage pregnant women to avail at least four ANC checkups during their pregnancy to ensure safe delivery for both mother and child.
