DIMAPUR — A state-level team of health officials successfully completed a Pre-Common Review Mission (Pre-CRM) monitoring and supportive supervision visit across 27 health units in Mon district from October 24 to the 28th.


An update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Mon, stated that the visit was to assess the preparedness of health facilities and review the ongoing implementation of national health programmes under the National Health Mission (NHM).


The monitoring team was led by Dr. Imkongtemsu Longchar, SIO/UIP, along with senior officials including Dr. Rupert Peseyie, SPO-RCH; Dr. Tinenlo James, SPO-PMNDP; Dr. Apichetla Amer, APO-NTEP; Dr. Longri Kichu, NHM public health specialist; Benjungtoshi Jamir, PM-CH; Aotemsu Ozukum, consultant of NUHM; Tongpangmatsung, consultant of NPCDCS; Imsubenla, PH and training consultant of NVBDCP; Ongjetla Ozukum, APM-HMIS; Kevin Kekruneihou Zinyu, CPHC consultant; Ruokuolatuo Rutsu, finance of UIP; and Rajesh Khartu Monsang, RPO, UNDP.

During the five-day exercise, the officials reviewed service delivery mechanisms, infrastructure, data reporting and community-level implementation of various national health programmes. It added that while acknowledging significant progress across health facilities, the team also identified certain areas requiring further attention to strengthen overall service delivery.


Following the completion of field visit, a debriefing session was held on October 28, where the team presented key findings and shared constructive feedback with district health officials. The session also emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts and continued monitoring to enhance health service delivery in the district.


It further stated that the Pre-CRM monitoring visit served as an important preparatory step ahead of the upcoming common review mission (CRM), which had helped identify both achievements and opportunities for further strengthening the public health system in Mon district.
