DIMAPUR — Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, government of India, has launched the sixth round of National Family Health Survey, popularly known as NFHS-6 in Nagaland with the objective of estimating reliable indicators of population, maternal and child health and family planning at the district, state and national levels.

The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, an autonomous institute of the ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is the nodal agency for conducting the survey on behalf of the ministry. The IIPS in turn has engaged field agencies to carry out the survey.

In this regard, the Centre for Market Research and Social Development Pvt. Ltd. (CMRSD) has been appointed as field agency to conduct the survey in Nagaland for NFHS-6. It added that CMRSD has successfully completed household listing and the team is planning to conduct detailed household survey and health tests from the selected primary sampling units (PSUs) in Nagaland during July to December, 2023, or till end of survey.

During the main survey, trained field teams would be visit various selected primary sampling units (villages) and urban areas for conduct of household survey and health tests in the districts.
