Dimapur, Aug. 23 (EMN): Minister for Health and Family Welfare S. Pangyu Phom paid a surprise visit to Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Mokokchung on last week and expressed satisfaction with the upkeep of the hospital and also with the progress of the works relating to the upcoming Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the hospital.
A Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) news bulletin, while informing that the minister visited the hospital on Aug. 18, said that Pangnyu Phom interacted with the officers and staff of the hospital.
Stressing on the importance of the IMDH as the referral hospital especially for the neighboring districts like Longleng, Tuensang and Zunheboto, Phom expressed deep appreciation for the services rendered so far by the doctors and the nurses of the hospital in attending to the needs of the poor patients of these districts.
He urged them to continue providing the good services so that the IMDH would become a model hospital in the state, the DIPR news updated.
