Dimapur, April 13 (EMN): A health mela which was conducted by the department of Health & Family Welfare concluded at Zhuikhu village in Dimapur on April 12.
A press release informed on Friday that during the mela, doctors from various health programmes such as Universal Immunization Programme, National Leprosy Eradication Program, National Programme for Control of Blindness, Revised National TB Control Program, National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme, AYUSH, DAPCU, Non-Communicable Diseases, general medical officers and lab technicians were present to examine the patients.
According to the press release a total of 304 patients availed the service provided during the health mela. Medicines were distributed and compensations were given to those beneficiaries opting for permanent and temporary methods of family planning.
The press release stated that the GB of Zhuikhu village SG Hollo expressed gratitude to the department for organizing the mela in their village and requested for repair and renovation of PHC building and staff quarters.
