Dimapur, Nov. 1 (EMN): Department of Health and Family Welfare conducted a review meeting on Pradhan Mantri National Dialysis Programme (PMNDP) in the conference hall of its directorate on October 30 with the participation of district officials, dialysis technicians and staffs from Kohima and Mokokchung districts.
The review meeting was chaired by the deputy director (NVBDCP) and PMNDP nodal officer, Dr. Neisakho Kere, while the opening remark was said by Dr. Kevichusa Medikhru, mission director of NHM. In his remarks, Dr. Medikhru expressed hope that the review meeting would be helpful in improving the dialysis centres in both Kohima and Mokokchung districts.
A presentation on dialysis was made by Dr. Manong Chohwanglim, MD (Medicine), DM (Nephrology).
The presentation was followed with an interactions wherein the district officials discussed and suggested measures to improve dialysis facilities in the two districts. This was stated in a press release issued by Dr. I Talitemsula Jamir, joint director and SPO of National Vector Borne Disease Control Program (NVBDCP).
