
DIMAPUR — The chief medical officer (CMO) of Mokokchung, Dr. Kibangkumba, inaugurated a health sub-centre in Satsu village under Mokokchung district on October 12.
During a short programme held at the village community hall, Dr. Kibangkumba expressed gratitude to Imkong L Imchen, advisor of Information and Public Relations and Soil and Water Conservation, whose effort paved the way for the formation of Satsu village and construction of a new sub-centre building in the village.
He requested the members of village council, village health committee and the community to actively participate and support the sub-centre and its staff in every possible way in order to upgrade the sub-centre in the near future. He also made the community aware on the importance of immunisation, timely ante-natal care for pregnant women and measures to prevent diseases. He added that prevention is always better than cure, stated an update from the CMO office.

Village council members from Aliba, Kinunger and Mangmetong as well as representatives from Mangmetong Senso, Mokokchung town, attended the inaugural programme.
