Dimapur, Feb. 19: 9 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on February 19, conducted free medical camp at Razeiba village under Phek district.
Medical team under 2IC (CMO) C Satyaranjan carried out health check-up , wherein 275 patients were treated and provided medicines to patients. Screening of diabetes was also conducted.
Apart from providing medical assistance, basic knowledge on health education including precaution from common viral diseases was also imparted. Emphasis on importance of hygiene and sanitation were explained to the villagers for better living standard.
A similar programme was conducted by 9 BIHAR, under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) at Chenmoho village, Mon district on February 19. A total of 403 patients were provided medical assistance by RMO, 9 BIHAR and medical staff. Locals were also educated upon the importance of vaccination, health and hygiene and household methods of treatment during emergencies.
