The Har Ghar Tiranga Exhibition 2026 campaign commenced in Kohima to promote national pride and unity.
DIMAPUR — As part of the ongoing nationwide Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, the Har Ghar Tiranga Exhibition 2026 commenced in Kohima on August 10. The campaign is a collaborative initiative between the Department of Art and Culture and the Home Department.
The initiative serves as a formal call to all citizens to bring the Tiranga into their homes and hoist it to commemorate India’s Independence, according to a DIPR report.
The campaign aims to foster a personal connection with the national flag. This year, the campaign also celebrates the 150th anniversary of the spirit of India's national song, "Vande Mataram".
The inauguration event was attended by Secretary of Home Kuko Mero as the special guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mero highlighted that Har Ghar Tiranga is a national campaign designed to showcase the unity, strength, and integrity of the nation.

He stated that the Tiranga Exhibition is a core component of the broader Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 initiative, which will be accompanied by a series of commemorative activities in the coming days.
The curated exhibition, located at Gate No. 1 of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, is designed to immerse visitors in historical heritage and evoke patriotic pride. Citizens and students are invited to explore the displays and participate in the celebrations.
To help visitors capture the spirit of the occasion, dedicated photo booths have been installed at Gate No. 1 of the Nagaland Civil Secretariat and the State Museum. Visitors have been encouraged to take photographs and selfies with the National Flag at these booths and upload the images to the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal.
