Dimapur, Sep. 30 (EMN): Choral team from Hallel Music Academy, Kohima, led by Gideon Mesen Thono has won the ‘Swar Sudha Music Festival of Choral Music and Instrumental Competition,’ held recently in Mizoram.
Nagaland choir presented western classical music and Naga traditional music in Swar Sudha music festival.
Hallel Music Academy, Kohima, comprising teachers, voice students and others represented Nagaland team led by renowned musician Gideon Mesen, who is known for his composition and conducting major’ from Philippines. To his credit, Mesen also won accolade at Hornbill chorale fest and Kohima Youth Fellowship’s chorale competition as the best choir conductor.
Swar Sudha Music Festival was held on September 27 and 28 at Aizawl, where participation from North Eastern States and premier teams from the main land had participated.
