Dimapur, September 6: The North East Development Foundation in association with M-Net is organising the 7 Sisters-4 Marathons under the theme “Run Raise Respond” at the four state capitals of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur.
The Half Marathons covering 21.1 km will be held in Kohima on September 8.Earlier, the Guwahati marathon was held on 3 September and Shillong on 6 September, while Imphal is set to be on 10 September.
The press release stated that the theme ‘Run Raise Respond’ (RRR) was intended to create strong entrepreneurial economy in the northeast region of the country, Targeted to create more jobs and build a competitive economy in NE-India for which many more competitive and growing business should be inspired to motivate entrepreneurs to develop in the region. To create this awareness and to instil favourable entrepreneurship climate, this marathon is being held across the region.
The organisers invite the interested participants to register online at runraiserespond.com or offline registration on spot participation at the Classic Hotel North AOC in Kohima.
