KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 12 : On the theme “Run for Unity”, Don Bosco College Kohima conducted a half marathon at the college ground on Saturday morning, according to a press release.
Khriebeituo, who clocked 1:21minutes, was the winner in boy’s category followed by Ngurhotho S Poji and Sedevilie Kireplaced in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Ajano Haihing, who clocked 2:15minutes, took the honour among the girls. She was followed by Morevine Krocha and Akha Losa Krichena placed in 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
“It was a long and challenging competition yet the students wearing colourful smile on their faces covered the route from DBCK to Billy Graham Road, High School Junction to Meriema Junction and back to Don Bosco College Kohima, a distance measuring 21k. It is worth mentioning that 250 students participated in the event and out of which 110 students completed the race successfully,” according to the press release. The chief guest was Azenuo Pienyü, Project Director, DRDA, Kiphire.
