THEIR divorce was finally finalized just a couple of weeks ago but Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin showed the world Sunday they’re very much consciously co-parenting their two children.
The former couple were pictured together for the first time since officially divorcing at a spring fair event in Los Angeles.
The parents of Apple, 10, and Moses, nine, were spotted enjoying burgers as they sat together at a table under the shade of a large umbrella.
The actress and the musician seemed happy and relaxed as they enjoyed the sunny afternoon with their children and other fair attendees.
But Gwyneth still made it clear what Chris is missing in a pair of very tiny Daisy Dukes with a baggy striped sleeveless shirt and tan ankle boots.
The pair seemed to have plenty to talk about and epitomized the maxim that exes can still be friends.
In announcing their ‘conscious uncoupling,’ the iron Man star and Coldplay frontman said in a statement that they will continue their role together as parents to ‘two incredibly wonderful children.’
‘We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,’ they said.
‘We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.’
One year on, it appears that the two are proving that statement to be true and appear to be taking their relationship to the next level as they raise their children.
Gwyneth, 42, and Chris, 38, announced their split in March 2014 after 12 years of marriage and was reported to be amicable.
Their union officially ended in mid-April due to ‘irreconcilable differences’ with the couple working out custody and financial arrangements in a confidential settlement.
Following their split, Chris has Martin has been seen with Hunger games star Jennifer Lawrence, 24, while Gwyneth has been dating Glee executive Brad Falchuk, 44.
