Dimapur, August 24 (EMN): The Governor of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, PB Acharya has expressed shock and sadness at the demise of Additional Director of IPR, Dominic Yazokie at Kohima on August 24.
In a condolence message addressed to Mrs. Ako Nakro, wife of Late Yazokie, the Governor stated that Late Dominic had a long time association with Raj Bhavan, Kohima as the PRO to the Governor of Nagaland.
Stating that the contributions, sacrifices and service to the people for the development of the State will be remembered by all, the Governor said Late Yazokie’s demise was a great loss to the Department of IPR in general and Government of Nagaland in particular. ‘He has served the Department and the Government of Nagaland in various capacities without fail and his loss will create a vacuum in the Department’ he added.
Governor conveyed his deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and all near and dear ones at this time of sorrow and prays to the Almighty to grant strength and solace to overcome the grief.
Rio: Member of Parliament (LS) and former State Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, is grieved at the demised late Dominic Yazokie, Additional Director of IPR on Thursday at Bethesda Hospital, Kohima.
Rio said he was a well-known fatherly figure to many Naga students while he was posted in Delhi as PRO and proved himself to be an efficient officer who contributed his best to the Government and the people in his various official capacities till his last breath. In his demise, Rio said the Government in particular and the people of Nagaland in general have lost an efficient and experienced officer whose absence will be conspicuously felt in the days to come. He also expressed hope that that late Yazokie memory will inspire many youngsters to join the media fraternity and follow in his footsteps.
“In this hour of sorrow, my wife and family join me in expressing our deepest condolences to the members of the bereaved family. We pray that Almighty God will bestow His grace and strength upon each and every one of you to bear with the loss of your dearly loved one” the condolence message conveyed. Further, he prays for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.
DIPR: The Director, officers and staff of the Department of Information & Public Relations have condoled the untimely demise of Additional Director of IPR, late Dominic Yazokie after a brief illness on August 24 at Kohima.
DIPR said late Yazokie joined the department in the year 1985 and had notably served as PRO Delhi for several years before joining the Directorate as Deputy Director. He was also posted as PRO, Raj Bhavan and Nodal Officer, Chief Minister’s Office, shouldering both assignments very capably.
With an amiable personality and wide knowledge and experience, Yazokie was a guiding force in the Department, DIPR added.
The Department also expressed that even during his brief illness, the department had felt his absence greatly and the Department, as a whole, is yet to come to terms with his untimely demise. DIPR lamented that in his death the Department in particular and the society as a whole has lost a very capable officer.
At this time of grief, the DIPR prays to the Almighty to grant solace to his bereaved wife Ako Nakro, children, grand children and family members.
DPC: The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has condoled the demise of Additional Director of Information & Public Relations, late Dominic Yazokie after a brief illness, on August 24 at Kohima.
The DPC conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Almighty God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.
KPC: The Kohima Press Club (KPC) has expressed shock and sadness over the untimely demise of Dominic Yazokie, Additional Director of Information & Public Relations.
The press club stated that late Dominic had been a well wisher as well as a fatherly figure to the press fraternity. In his demise, the KPC stated that the Naga society has lost a ‘humble officer and a fine soul’. It conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and offered prayers to the Almighty to grant them solace at this hour of loss and grief.
NPF Media & Press Bureau: The Media & Press Bureau of the Naga People’s Front (NPF), Central Headquarters, Kohima, has expressed pain over the sudden demise of a senior media person, late Dominic Yasokie, who was serving as Additional Director in the department of Information & Public Relation.
“Ever a jolly person, he endeared himself to one and all, young and old who met him. A humble person, while posted at New Delhi as PRO, he had been known to go out of his way to extend all assistance to the Naga community, especially the students for most of who he was their local guardian. Those of us who have had the opportunity to know him remember him as someone who had a smile permanently on his face with a most agreeable personality: Polite, decent and a thorough gentleman. He was an inspiration to the younger media persons and his memory shall live in our minds forevermore” said the NPF Media & Press Bureau.
At this hour of grief, members of the Media & Press Bureau of the NPF, extended their heartfelt condolences to the family members of the departed personality, and pray that the Almighty grant solace and comfort to the grieving members.
“May the Almighty receive the gentle soul in the Afterlife like he lovingly received all his fellow beings while on Earth” the condolence message added.
