Guv. calls for embracing work culture

Dimapur, July 9 (EMN): Nagaland Governor PB today encouraged the Nagas in Shillong to be socially accountable, embrace work culture and be positive towards entrepreneurship. The Acharya, according to a press release from the PRO to Governor, had an interaction with Naga elders, Naga Student leaders and Officers and Staff of Nagaland House, Shillong on July 9, where he encouraged students to continue working hard and to achieve their goals in empowering themselves with knowledge. The governor stressed on the importance of skill development, and said that that it was important to have a course in skill. In this regard, he said that the UGC has made it mandatory to introduce skill development in the curriculum. While calling on the students to game changers and be socially accountable, Acharya maintained that the students, when they come out, must be an asset to the society and be employable. Therefore, he said that ‘work culture should be embraced and be positive towards entrepreneurship. The governor also called on the gathered to continue promoting the rich Naga culture and traditions and to keep their mother tongue alive as it is ones identity. He further encouraged them ‘to inform the various targeted group on the Central and State Government schemes for their benefit and all round development,’ stated the release.
