DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 16: Gujarat U-19 team defeated the combined Associate & Affiliate team of BCCI by an innings and 265 runs in a four-day match of All India Cooch Behar Under-19 trophy at Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima on Wednesday.
The tournament has been organised by BCCI and hosted by Nagaland Cricket Association at Dimapur from November 14. This was the first ever BCCI match hosted by the NCA at Nagaland.
A & A team were all out for 77 in 41 over during the second day of the first innings, while Gujarat U-19 declared 456 runs in 131.1 over’s on the second day.
After being asked to follow-on, the second innings of the Associate team continued on third day even as the Gujarat team dominated the play and A&A could manage only 114 in 49 overs. Sedezalie Rupreo from Nagaland was the only bright side of the team as he barely missed half century to score 45 runs during the match.
The A&A team are now travelling to Rajkot to play against Saurashtra from November 21 to 24. The team will also play with Hyderabad, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh in different parts of India in the month of November and December.
The A & A team have combined players from Nagaland, Manipur, Sikkim, Arunachal, Meghalaya and Bihar is in Group-D of the All India Cooch Behar Under-19 trophy.
